Boca

DOC

A wine whose origins stretch back as far as 1300 with Pietro Azario, chronicler from the town of Novara describing it “celebrated since ancient times”. Evidence shows that Boca was supplied to the Spanish Army that moved from Piedmont to dominate Lombardy.

The peculiar nature of the land around the hilly territory of Boca and Maggiora brings perfect conditions for growing the ancient Nebbiolo varietal as well as two other indigenous grapes like Vespolina and Bonarda Novarese. The D.O.C. designation of origin was recognized in 1969.
